During the 2009 China IC Industry Promotion Conference & 4th Chinese Chip Awards Ceremony held in Wuxi on Dec. 17-18, UART Interface Wireless NIC Module-TLG09UA01 launched by CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd ((hereinafter referred to as HED) won the Top Innovation and Application Prize of 2009 China Chip given by Soft-ware & Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

TLG09UA01 was developed based on the first generation of WLAN baseband/MAC chip 05W01SU developed by HED independently, which firstly integrated protocol stack of 802.11MAC in baseband /MAC chip. Moreover, this product supports the serial ports to the format of WLAN TCP/UDP/RAW transmission without changing host, which will provide the wireless communication function of plug and play for serial establishment.

TLG09UA01 supports encrypted transmission of data of WEP64/WEP128/CCMP/WPI for making sure the security of data transmission. Meanwhile, this product is convenient to use and supports parameter configuration through interface of consumers and firmware upgrade online. In addition, this product meets national wireless standard of GB15629 series, Chinese wireless LAN security standards (WAPI) and IEEE802.11b standard.

The successful development and expansion of TLG09UA01 broke the monopoly of foreign products with high-price and made the application of WLAN technology in wireless networking of serial ports equipment real. In addition, this product can provide the application with higher security based on WAPI comparing with foreign competitive products.
